Joining as a PHP Developer / Web Developer you’ll be integral in both the creation of new client projects (front end and back end) and the smooth running of existing ones. You’ll have the opportunity to be the “go-to guy”, the main technical point of contact on certain projects, taking them from birthing meeting with the client through wire-framing and technical specifications then onto design and build and beyond, (on-time and on budget!). In more detail expect to be involved with the following:
• Backend web development; creating dynamic content that interacts with MySQL databases using via PHP to sit with either your, or your team members’ front-end development.
• Front-end web development; client project builds using Javascript, AJAX, XHTML, CSS and related technologies.
• Open Source CMS Development utilising Drupal.
• Bringing new and emerging technologies to that table.
• Help develop the knowledge and skill set of the current Development Team.
• Helping improving development workflow and processes.
We are looking for developers that have perhaps been stifled by that larger agency experience and are now looking to jump into an agile boutique agency in a great location that promises complete development freedom.
Your CV must highlight proficiency in the above technologies (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS etc) whilst demonstrating strong commercial experience in a development role. The ideal candidate will also be educated to degree level, have previously worked within a digital agency and have a genuine passion for all things web related.
Exposure to any or all of the following would be highly advantageous: Drupal, AS3, MVC frameworks (Zend, Symfony, codeIgniter etc), cloud computing.
To qualify you will also need to be a dynamic individual that wants more than to just code, the right person will not be a faceless team member! You’ll play a key role in building relationships with clients, helping to work out the best possible technical response for their needs and providing genuine input that will help define the shape of the company.
