Web Software Engineer – Online Game Startup
ROBLOX is looking for a web ninja (or samurai) to help us roll out awesome new features on our website. The Web Engineer will work on a variety of mission critical projects, including expanding our virtual economy, enhancing our social networking functionality, and integrating with our 3D game client.
If you are a creative engineer who loves a challenge, and you are looking to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment, ROBLOX is for you. We are looking for someone who is not only a web wizard but a great person to work with. The ideal candidate will have great verbal and written communication skills, as well as a genuine passion for what we do. You are motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to put your brain to good use! We prefer to hire generalists – this position will involve interaction with graphics, user interface, networking, installer, physics, sound, scripting and build system code.
REQUIREMENTS:
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience
• 3+ years experience working on production high-load web applications
• 3+ years with web application stack (.NET/LAMP/ Java/Ruby)
• Experienced with HTML/DHTML/XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, Flash
• Demo examples of your past work a plus
