Senior .NET Developer - London to 60k
at Zac Stephens in London, UK
Experience in designing, implementing and deploying e-commerce applications and services. Exposure to order management, provisioning, fulfillment and payment processing (PCI) systems is also highly desirable.
Strong .NET and related software engineering skills: C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, LINQ, SQL Server, WPF, WCF, WF, web services (SOAP, REST), HTML/CSS, XML, JavaScript, Visual Studio, object orientation, component-based design, domain-driven design, software patterns, software configuration management, issue management, build management (Rake, NAnt) and ALT.NET
Good exposure to Agile and all related tools, practices and methods: TDD, NUnit, continuous integration, automated regression testing, pair programming, refactoring and Scrum
Strong communication, collaboration and business-facing skills. Senior Developers would be expected to assist in coaching and mentoring.
Experience in working with busy transactional websites. Senior Developers would be expected to have familiarity with high availability, load balancing and performance tuning.
A structured and open approach to your work and a great eye for detail.
A passion for the Web and the commercial opportunities it presents.
An outgoing personality and a can-do attitude.
Minimum 4-6 years previous experience required. But the key is talent, passion and a willingness to learn and expand your horizons.
.NET Developers who have experience maintaining and evolving real live systems.
ALT.NET exposure, proactive developers looking at alternative ways of doing things - Microsoft toolset (e.g. TFS, VSS) and fully aware of the ALT.NET world.
Unit testing experience, "automated unit testing" (with NUnit, XUnit or...);
Strong programmers with experience developing on existing systems - and so with experience of reengineering, refactoring and brownfield development - and who are very strong analytically.
Strong analytically, cost-benefit and pros/cons analysis. Among other things, this means strong awareness of the strengths and weaknesses of competing technologies.
