WEB DEVELOPER II – IPHONE

Description: The incumbent will adapt, analyze, design and develop the underlying subsystems that will power mobile products the company delivers globally. Works with a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and Editors to create and manage the best digital sports experiences around the world.
Responsibilities:
· Hands on coding using server side scripting languages to primarily support mobile products distributed globally
· Develop applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (AJAX/JSON), and client side technologies working with Product Managers, Editors, and Information Architects
· Help define new product requirements, features, and functionality
· Integrate APIs to support data retrieval, consolidation of data from multiple sources for reporting
· Lead development of mobile websites, downloadable applications, data feeds and integration of community and fantasy games around major sporting events
· Help provide support and maintenance for deployed company’s products and/or manage third parties providing these tasks
· Assist in the technical analysis and evaluation of new technologies and product enhancements
· Work closely with Engineers, Producers and Developers to identify product and architecture areas requiring improvement and help implement solutions
Qualifications: Passionate sports fan with a can-do attitude and strong communication skills. The incumbent must be passionate about technology, product development, and sports. Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment is also required.
1. BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical degree
2. Work experience, preferably with a consumer-oriented company developing large-scale products
3. Hands-on development experience in a professional environment, working with a structured programming language such as C/C++, Javascript, ASP, JSP, PHP, etc.
4. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming fundamentals and multi-tier web architectures
5. Experience writing technical specs and driving them through development
6. Good understanding of benefits and constraints of current Internet technologies and familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Flash, and DHTML
7. Strong understanding of working with third party social network APIs, ad network integration, and analytics systems
