Our client, a premier interactive agency has an immediate need for a PHP/Zend Developer who needs to be able to write a service layer for a connecting to a homegrown CMS.

Experience with the following would be a plus:

• Expert level understanding of OO design and programming in PHP 5
• Experience with one or more of the following frameworks is desirable: Cake PHP, Zend, CodeIgniter, Symphony
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL, ability to write and tune complex SQL queries (MySQL or Oracle), ability to design normalized database schemas
• Experience scaling a LAMP-based application using technologies such as memcached, Akamai, load balancing, and xdebug
• Understanding of the principles of REST, ability to apply these principles to LAMP applications
• Familiarity with unit testing
