full time PHP MySQL Engineer for a Private Profitable Startup

at confidential in San Francisco - Bay area ( San Mateo, California )

My client is a small, PRIVATE, but PROFITABLE startup company that’s doubling in size this year to meet the high demand of their market in the social applications industry. In order to support their growth they’re hiring PHP/MySQL Backend Developers with experience developing quality software for large scale, fast growth web services.

PHP/MySQL Web Developers / Location: San Mateo

Requirements:

  • High quality coder that thrives in a fast iterative release environment.
  • Ability to do back-end development with some front-end of LAMP/PHP stack.
  • MS/BS in Computer Science preferred and 2+years development experience for large scale systems.
  • Solid computer science fundamentals; data structures, algorithms, design patterns, agile process…
  • LAMP development – Linux / MySQL / PHP for scalable back-end.
  • HTML / CSS / JavaScript / Ajax and solid database experience (MySQL pref.)
  • Good knowledge of Internet marketing principles (CPM, advertising, SEO, SEM..)
  • Experience with – or strong understanding of scaling websites (i.e. re-factoring, optimization…)
  • Experience building apps for Facebook or MySpace or other social network a plus
  • Interest in casual gaming and social network applications and payment systems and APIs a plus.
