Job Title: Senior FLEX/AS3 Developer
Location: San Carlos, CA
Duration: Full time/permanent – on-site
Telecommuting: Some – 2 days per week
Salary: 100-130k

My client is an educational technology company that delivers highly customized learning solutions for colleges, universities, instructors, students, libraries, government agencies, corporations and professionals around the world. These solutions are delivered through specialized content, applications and services that foster academic excellence and professional development, as well as provide measurable learning outcomes to their customers.

The Senior FLEX/AS3 Developer will be responsible for designing and developing rich internet applications. This is a full time position based in San Carlos, CA with the option to telecommute 2 days a week.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, and develop Flash RIA’s (some general, some discipline specific)
  • Work closely with domain experts, product management, customer support and sales to review requirements and technical specifications
  • Review test plans with QA and participate in code reviews with developers

Basic Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years development experience in Flash creating Rich Internet Applications
  • Proficient developing in ActionScript 3.0 (some AS2 a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and thrive in a start up environment
  • Visual and UI design experience
