Web Developer
at Luis in Atlanta
Reporting into Vitrue’s Product Software Engineering group, our Web Developer will be responsible for client-side application development. This role will require excellent practical skills in front-end development technologies. You will be joining a team responsible for producing and maintaining clean, high quality, standards compliant code.
Requirements:
- Expert experience implementing high-end UI rich consumer projects, please provide samples
- Expert experience using HTML/XHTML and CSS (Hand Coding is Required)
- Strong experience with JavaScript and AJAX (jQuery, script.aculo.us, and Prototype)
- Strong experience with Flex, ActionScript and MXML
- Experience with PHP and Ruby on Rails, MVC application framework experience is required
- Experience with Photoshop, ability to work with creative assets is required
- Familiar with database principles using MySQL
- Familiar with UNIX or Linux including secure shell or SSH and revision control systems such as SVN
- Familiar working in an Agile (XP, Scrum, etc.) development environment
- Understanding of social networking and social media websites (Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
- Strong desire to work in a OS X environment, office is over 90% Mac
- Ability to commute by car or rail to downtown Atlanta (parking or MARTA paid by Vitrue)
